Big Thief are an American indie folk-rock band formed in Brooklyn in 2015 — Adrianne Lenker, Buck Meek, Max Oleartchik, and James Krivchenia. Across a remarkably fast run of albums, from Masterpiece to the double LP Dragon New Warm Mountain I Believe in You (2022), Lenker's songwriting made them the most acclaimed folk-rock band of their generation, equal parts hushed intimacy and electric squall. Their shows are famously loose, warm, and different every night.
