Jens Lekman is a Swedish songwriter from Gothenburg who builds lush, sample-stitched pop around true stories told with disarming sincerity — botched haircuts, fake boyfriends, chance encounters, all delivered in a warm baritone over flea-market strings. Night Falls Over Kortedala (2007) is the canonical statement; Life Will See You Now (2017) and his ongoing song-correspondence projects keep the practice alive: pop as a form of letter-writing.
