The A Bit of Previous tour, in Roadrunner's first summer as a venue. John's first of two Belle and Sebastian shows — he saw them again at the Orpheum in 2024. No ticket survives; setlist.fm documents the night.
The moment
A Bit of Previous was Belle and Sebastian's first proper album in seven years, and the 2022 tour brought out something the twee-legend caricature never captured: three decades in, the Glasgow miserablists had quietly become one of the most joyful live bands working, all disco moves and crowd invasions. Roadrunner was months old and enormous; 'The Boy with the Arab Strap' filled it anyway. With Becky — and two years later, at the Orpheum, they'd both go back for more.
