No ticket or email survives, and no online record of the show has surfaced — setlist.fm documents only a handful of Hiatt shows from this era, and this isn't one of them. The window is firm, though: Tim Easton spent the eighteen months after The Truth About Us came out (January 2001) opening for Hiatt, whose touring in that stretch was The Tiki Bar Is Open with the Goners — a theater tour that fits this room. Placed provisionally in November 2001; tighten the date if an itinerary surfaces (thejohnhiattarchives.com scans Hiatt tour itineraries).

The moment

John Hiatt is the great songwriter other people had the hits with — 'Thing Called Love' for Bonnie Raitt, 'Have a Little Faith in Me' for everyone — and by 2001 his own shows were where the songs came home. The Tiki Bar Is Open had come out two weeks after September 11th, and the fall run brought it to a converted Concord theater with Tim Easton opening: the first of the archive's three Tim Easton encounters, a thread that runs to a Music Hall ticket in 2026. This show survived nowhere online — John's memory put it back on the record.
