Street festival — stub bills it as "Blues • Country • Zydeco • Rock • Reggae • Tex/Mex • Jazz." Rain or shine. John recalls seeing Eric Burdon and Jellyfish across the festival's stages. The Street Scene ran on Fifth Avenue in the Gaslamp from 1984 until it outgrew the district and moved to Qualcomm Stadium in 2005.
