John remembers Convoy opening. setlist.fm lists Todd Snider at the Paradise in 1996 and then not again until 2009, which would put no show inside Convoy’s 1997–2003 lifetime — but it also holds no Todd Snider setlists whatsoever for 2002, so its coverage of him in that era is plainly incomplete. The window comes from Convoy’s existence, not from a source. John saw Convoy three times in Boston: here, opening for Better Than Ezra at the Avalon, and headlining Bill’s Bar.
