Founded in 1959 by George Wein with Pete Seeger, Albert Grossman, Theodore Bikel and Oscar Brand, and famous as the site of Dylan's electric set in 1965. It ran 1959-60 and 1963-69, went on hiatus, and was revived in 1985. Held outdoors at Fort Adams State Park since the 1980s. Roughly 10,000 tickets a day, which is attendance rather than a fixed capacity.
