A 4,300-seat outdoor amphitheater built as the Ford Bowl for the 1935-36 California Pacific International Exposition, its acoustics by Vern Knudsen, who also worked on the Hollywood Bowl. It sits almost directly under the landing path for San Diego International, and a light system used to signal conductors to pause for passing planes. Largely dormant since 2011, but not demolished.
