Bright Eyes is the American indie band built around Omaha songwriter Conor Oberst, with multi-instrumentalist Mike Mogis and, later, Nate Walcott as permanent members. The flagship of the Saddle Creek label, Oberst wrote his adolescence in public — Fevers and Mirrors, Lifted, and 2005's simultaneous I'm Wide Awake, It's Morning and Digital Ash in a Digital Urn, the peak of his 'new Dylan' era. After a long pause the band returned in 2020 and has kept releasing since.
