Feist is a Canadian singer-songwriter — Leslie Feist, also a member of Broken Social Scene — whose whispery, rhythmically sly indie pop broke worldwide when '1234' from The Reminder (2007) soundtracked an iPod commercial. She has spent the years since deliberately sidestepping that fame: the raw Metals (2011), the fractured Pleasure (2017), and Multitudes (2023), each smaller and stranger than stardom asked for, each better regarded than the last.
