The stub prints the original date — WED OCT 3, 2001 — but the Bad Seeds postponed, and John finally saw the show on May 1, 2002, still at the Orpheum, on the U.S. leg of the No More Shall We Part tour. Neko Case opened, per John; Concert Archives corroborates it, listing her on the May 1, 2002 bill. The earliest Neko Case appearance in the archive. (eventDate is the honored 2002 date, not the 2001 date printed on the stub — do not "correct" it back to match the ticket.)

The moment

No More Shall We Part was the album of Nick Cave's great sobering — piano, hymns, Warren Ellis's violin moving toward the center of the Bad Seeds. John's stub is printed for Wednesday, October 3, 2001, the middle night of an absurd week — Wilco at the Orpheum on Tuesday, Ryan Adams's Gold tour at the Paradise on Friday — but the Bad Seeds postponed that autumn date, and the show didn't come until May 1, 2002. When it did it was the same seated hush, Neko Case opening, the No More Shall We Part tour reaching Boston seven months late.
