An outdoor stadium on the San Diego State campus, built by WPA labor around 1936 and expanded to 12,592 seats in 1948. It was the football home until 1967 and later hosted 91X's X-Fest festivals. About 80 percent of the bowl was covered over in 1996 to build what is now Viejas Arena.
