A historic downtown district centered on Fifth Avenue, developed from 1867 by Alonzo Horton, holding the largest concentration of Victorian commercial buildings in the country. It is a street-festival location, not a room. Its music significance is the Street Scene festival, which began in 1984 on Fifth Avenue with a couple of stages, grew across several blocks, and left the Gaslamp for Qualcomm Stadium in 2005.
