Opened October 29, 1928 on Washington Street as the B.F. Keith Memorial Theatre, a Thomas Lamb movie-and-vaudeville palace. Later RKO Keith's, then the Savoy, then home to Sarah Caldwell's Opera Company of Boston from 1980. After the company folded in 1991 it decayed, then reopened in July 2004 following a $38 million restoration. About 2,600 seats.
