Portland's outdoor summer venue, on a waterfront peninsula anchored by a restored Union Station platform shed moved to the site in the late 1960s to save it from demolition. The State Theatre's manager signed a deal to program concerts here in 2014 and the series launched in 2016. There is no fixed capacity: the footprint scales from roughly 2,500 to 5,000, with the riverside lawn reaching about 6,000.
