Adam Ant — Stuart Goddard — is an English musician who led Adam and the Ants out of London punk into early-MTV superstardom: Kings of the Wild Frontier (1980), the Burundi drums, the highwayman stripe, then the solo run of 'Goody Two Shoes' and Friend or Foe. After decades marked by acting and a very public struggle with bipolar disorder, he returned to touring in the 2010s as one of the era's most committed live revivals — and one of its frankest mental-health advocates.
