Opened in early 2009 with a J. Geils Band reunion, built new on the 15 Lansdowne Street lot where Avalon had stood until its 2007 closure and demolition. It is not a renamed Avalon — it is a different building on the same ground. At a stated 2,500 it is the largest room in the House of Blues chain, though other sources put it between 2,200 and 2,600.
