Opened September 22, 1977 as the Paradise Theater with a headlining set by Livingston Taylor, launched by promoter Don Law on the edge of Boston University. It started at about 850 capacity; a 2010 renovation moved the stage and box office and raised the room to 933. Phish sold it out in January 1989 with roughly 200 fans left on the sidewalk.
